World Vision provides hope and assistance to approximately 100 million people in nearly 100 countries. In communities around the world, we join with local people to find lasting ways to improve the lives of poor children and families. In 2010, 85% of World Vision's total revenue was designated for programs that benefit children, families, and communities in need.

    Lexington Interfaith Community Services

Lexington Interfaith Community Service (LICS) will receive 50% of the profits up to $10,000 after World Vision sponsorships in 2016. LICS is a local Christian social service ministry serving the families and individuals struggling to meet their basic needs of food, clothing, medications, prayer, personal hygiene/cleaning items and shelter. Through the support of more than Christian congregations, LICS serves residents of Lexington County.

LICS provides food and other services to over 20,000 people annually either for crisis assistance, which averages 30 families per day, or the Food For Living (FFL) program. FF: is for families who receive federal assistance due to disability, VA benefits or Social Security. This program feeds over 5,500 per year. LICS now utilizes a Mobile Food Pantry to take FFL food to the clients who cannot come to Lexington due to transportation or health issues.

LRAH donations will purchase food for the pantry when donations are low.
